After touching the lives of thousands of people with Legacy, a song inspired by a close friend battling Lou Gehrig disease, young pop soul singer Kellie-Anne (La Voix Junior 2016) releases My Own Solution. The single will be offered on every digital platform starting November 13.
With more than 70,000 followers on social media, she accumulated over 150,000 Spotify streams and half a million views on YouTube. Her talent quickly caught the eye of industry professionals, which led to a contract with independent label M2P Records. Her new clip will be distributed by Real Hulk Entertainment and Sony Orchard (Jorja Smith, T-Pain, 21 Savage), a division of Sony Music Entertainment.
“I wanted to open up about how I found my inner peace and chose to work on myself, instead of suffering in silence.”
Through this song, Kellie-Anne opens up about the importance of mental health, a subject she believes is still deemed as a social taboo. The mellow beat contrasts with the dark themes exploring the hardships of mental illness that consumes the daily lives of many. My Own Solution not only invokes a message of hope, but also encourages the audience not to be afraid of opening up and getting help.
